RULES
Submission Expectations
One submission per person for each theme
A private submission MUST be sent to the following email address bellasara.database.info@gmail.com to check if the writing is within parameters of the theme
There will be a confirmation that your submission was received
Writing must be submitted by the deadline
Late submissions will not be accepted
Please keep all writing appropriate
Just anything wildly graphic or explicit in nature should be avoided
All submissions must fit within the parameters given by the theme
This includes all prompt "musts" for when they are given
Any that are found to not fit the theme during the private submission will be given the opportunity to make any alterations
By submitting your writing, you agree to potentially have your work published*
PLEASE MAKE SURE TO READ GUIDELINES AT THE BOTTOM OF PAGE
When adding your name to the submission information, please provide a name that you are okay with having publicly displayed online
This is to give due credit to the winner
Website Publication Expectation
There will not be names associated with submissions until after final results are revealed
We prefer to focus on the writing itself until final results are determined
Included information will be the title of the writing and any other information provided by the participant
In other words, please refrain from revealing which entry is yours on social media until final results are concluded. It is expected that each author is anonymous until then.
Writing will be removed from the website after final results are revealed
Since writing can't be watermarked like art can be, it seems best to remove the writing from the site. This process is in attempt to help protect each author's creativity. If anyone is caught duplicating the writing without permission from the author, then it will be reported as theft.
Please be kind to each other while participating in the event
People put their heart and time into their work. Any unkind or malicious behavior is a disqualifiable offense for any current or future contests.
Judge Panel Voting
There are a total of 3 categories which each of the judges will give the submissions independently of other judges and submissions
Each judge will look at all submissions one at a time
Each submission is judged based on 3 main categories
Chain of Events
Is the writing structured in a way that makes sense?
Is the writing capable of convincing readers to suspend their disbelief?
Creativity
Is the writing demonstrative of the author's creative expression?
Is the writing uniquely crafted in comparison to other entries?
Emotion
Is the writing capable of keeping readers interested?
Is the writing able to achieve an effect on the reader?
Each category gets a 1-5 and leaves the submission with a total number per judge
Once all participant entries receive a score per judge then all scores per submission from each judge are combined to create a grand total per entry
The entry with the highest score is the winner
Winner Expectations
Not all themes are subject to guarantee of a prize
Since our main focus is the art contests, we can't guarantee that we will have enough supply for prizes for every writing contest

Winner will be responsible for shipping cost, which will include tracking
Winner has 1 week to claim their prize
Unless upcoming absence is communicated beforehand
If no communication, the next runner up will be contacted for the prize
GUIDELINES
*Having your work potentially published will be for private purpose only. All works included in self-publication would be made available only to all who had contributed, not for entire community use.
Your work will not be exploited for monetary gain. Author credits will always be given. To be clear, the writing that might be published is exclusive to that which is submitted per contest; not any writing ever created by the author in the past, present or future.*
